South Sudan launches population estimation survey

The government of South Sudan on Thursday launched the first ever Population Estimation Survey exercise since independence in 2011. The survey is expected to be accomplished within a month to present an alternative figure for the delivery and planning of services, election and response to disaster while laying the foundation for the national census.
