GRID3 has population estimate and settlement data available for sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), in collaboration with our partners CIESIN at Columbia University and WorldPop at the University of Southampton. Users looking for best geospatial data only for Nigeria should use these data, while users looking only for DRC data can go here.
The GRID3 population and settlement extent data are fully integrated to enable adding gridded population estimates to the extents.
